If you’re not already currently part of Chiseled Fitness Bootcamp or doing some sort of your own training with a coach, you may be thinking which one would be better for you?
First of all there are many benefits to both the styles of training. With the biggest difference being that one type of training is conducted in a group while the other is one to one. Not hard to figure out which is which… I hope!
So let me just give you some of the benefits of both, which I hope should help give you some insight on both the styles/what you need. I personally started off my coaching career doing one-on-one trainings and now my focus is on boot camps.
I still provide one-on-one training but I will not be taking anymore clients on for that.
What are some of aspects of one-on-one training?
First of all it is much more personalized to what exactly you need. Your time with your traininer is not interupted and it is focused soley on YOU. Have a lagging body part? Your trainer can help you with that and personalize the training towards it.
Don’t like to socialise at all with others in your workout? This is another good option to go with this… and many people out there do actually like their workout time to themselves. Because the focus is just on you for the entire session, you can learn exercise movements with far more in-depth training and detail as focus is not split elsewhere for the trainer.
Programs are individualized and progress tracking can be done a little more efficiently. You *can* develop a closer relationship with your trainer. Although I try to build relationships with all my clients as I believe everyone is important & each person has their own needs, which a trainer needs to know about.
Thorough assessments are performed of your posture, balance and exercise movements with one-on-one. This gives trainers a far greater overview of what needs to be worked on without creating further muscular imbalances
What are some of the aspects of boot camp training?
Straight off the bat I would like to say it is FAR more social. You develop relationships with everyone in the group and meet some pretty cool people. Everyone is there for the same/similar goal to lose weight, gain muscle and improve their fitness.
Boot camps are quite a lot more cost effective. You do sacrifice some individualized aspects compared to one-on-one.. but what you get for the price that you pay cannot be beaten.
There is a far greater amount of fun in boot camps which helps you stick through the workout. The motivation and accountability factor is also greater as well. You may feel more competitive which helps you to push yourself harder (which ends up in better results for yourself).
Think of an example.. say you were feeling tired in the morning and you couldn’t be bothered going to workout. You may have a friend that forces you to go whereas you would have just stayed behind probably doing nothing if it weren’t for that friend. That’s accountability.
You increase your fitness alot more quicker in a boot camp, and I would argue that it is a much better option for weight loss, this is due to the competitiveness you may have wanting to keep up. Boot camps also tend to be more “go, go, go” meaning that you have less down time and are constantly on the move.
At the end of the day the decision is with you. You will get results with both styles. I feel better putting the best effort I can into boot camps, hence why I am no longer taking on one-on-one clients. Chiseled Fitness is still fairly new being started in December 2016. But I want to make it the best possible experience for you, while giving you the results you want. There is a long road ahead but I’m up for the challenge.
You cannot go wrong with either style of training. Remember to pick what’s best for you and give it a try. If it doesn’t turn out to be what you wanted then atleast you know!
If you got any questions about anything or just want to chat go ahead and flick me an email reply as I check my email quite often throughout the day… so I’ll reply as soon as I see it!
Enjoy the rest of your day.
